ADA 10 Under 10: Meet Dr. Sara Ehsani

Award honors new dentists for demonstrating excellence

Sara Ehsani, D.D.S., of Dallas — one of this year’s recipients of the ADA 10 Under 10 Award — finds joy in helping children establish oral health habits as a pediatric dentist.

“And then you build this trust and confidence in them, and that’s what I love,” she said in a video by the American Dental Association.

The 2016 graduate of the University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry has demonstrated her passion for leadership throughout her career by holding various roles within the tripartite. Her leadership philosophy is to uplift and help others grow while being an influence for change.

“There is room for everybody in dentistry, and together we’re stronger,” Dr. Ehsani said.

The ADA New Dentist Committee chose the recipients of the 10 Under 10 Award for demonstrating excellence and inspiring others in science, research and education; practice excellence; philanthropy; leadership; and advocacy. All 10 awardees are ADA members who graduated from dental school less than 10 years ago. The honorees were announced in March during Elevate in Washington, D.C.
