Keeping teeth healthy during Halloween
            Experts encouraged parents to reinforce dental hygiene practices as Halloween approaches.
Children and parents were advised to avoid sticky candies like lollipops and caramels that can adhere to the teeth, according to a news report from ABC 4. The experts recommended that individuals planning to consume candy around Halloween lean toward chocolates or other nonsticky candies and only eat them in moderation, particularly those who have received dental treatment such as crowns and fillings. They noted that the frequent contact of sugar-containing sticky candies with the teeth can increase the likelihood of dental caries.
Further, the experts suggested that parents can opt for noncandy prizes such as notebooks and pencils.
