Interprofessional collaboration webinar set for April 1

Experts will discuss how integrating oral health into primary care can improve health equity

The American Dental Association, Academy for Professionalism in Health Care and American College of Dentists are presenting a free webinar on the importance of interprofessional collaboration and oral health integration.

Oral Health is Essential Primary Care: The Importance of Interprofessional Collaboration, will stream from noon-1 ET on April 1.

During the one-hour webinar, Lisa Simon, M.D., D.M.D., fellow in Oral Health and Medicine Integration, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and Carlos Smith, D.D.S., M.Div., director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the VCU School of Dentistry, will discuss integrating oral health into primary care and how doing this can lead to improvements in health equity. Nanette Elster, J.D., M.P.H., the ADA's manager of Ethics Outreach & Programs, will moderate the discussion.
