Become a coding expert in one day through CE
The ADA is holding another installment of its popular one-day virtual coding course on May 21.
Coding experts Christopher Bulnes, D.M.D., Hope Watson, D.M.D., Mark MiHalo, D.D.S., and Steven Snyder, D.D.S., will lead the course, worth 5.5 hours of continuing education credit, to help build coding expertise for dentists and their staff. All instructors are former or current members of the ADA Council on Dental Benefit Programs.
The ADA Dental Coding Certificate–Assessment-Based CDT Program will provide necessary foundational knowledge, skills practice and reinforcement needed to accurately file claims using the CDT codes. It will expand participants’ knowledge base and improve their office’s coding efforts though realistic scenario-based simulations encountered during a typical workday.
At the end of this program, participants will be able to define key terms used in dental coding; identify the correct current claim form; correctly complete each field on the claim form to file claims with minimal rejection; explain the use of procedure codes; use the CDT book and CDT Coding Companion as resources for proper coding; and receive a certificate of completion after passing an optional assessment.
The CDT 2021 and Coding Companion books are required reference material necessary for successful completion of the course and can be purchased when registering for the course.
The course is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Central time.
The program is sponsored by Toothnotes.
