Webinar addresses new COVID-19 relief legislation, vaccines
The ADA will stream a free webinar on the new COVID-19 relief legislation and the implications the law will have on small business loans, taxes and labor issues.
The webinar will also discuss the latest updates on COVID-19 vaccines as they relate to dental practices.
The webinar, COVID-19 Relief Overview and an Update on Vaccines, will be held at noon EST on Jan. 14. Register here.
During the webinar, participants will receive:
- An overview of the Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loans and grants and how they are affected by the new legislation.
- The basics of the Employee Retention Tax Credit and how it can benefit dental practices.
- A walk though current employment-related topics, including paid time off for COVID-19, unemployment compensation benefit extensions, and whether and when to require practice staff to be vaccinated.
The webinar will be presented by Mike Graham, ADA senior vice president, government and public affairs; Cathy Albrecht, ADA senior associate general counsel; and Megan Mortimer, ADA congressional lobbyist.
The 45-minute webinar does not offer continuing education credit but will be available for viewing on the ADA's YouTube channel about 48 hours after the initial presentation.
The ADA has also developed a fact sheet with a Q&A for dentists interested in learning more about the Paycheck Protection Program and other small business loans. Download the fact sheet here.
